Author Notes: Paulo Gaviao Gonzaga in 1975 he established Interago Farms in Itapira, Brazil, a famous Lustiano horse-breeding operation which is now the world's largest, running about 400 mares and selling horses to an international market. He was for many years the President of the Brazilian Association of Lustiano Horse Breeders. Paulo Gonzaga has contributed several articles on horse breeding to Brazilian and American publications, and has written books on the Lustiano horse. He regularly drives his Lustiano horses around the farm.
