Author Notes: Clinton Anderson was born and raised in Australia, where his family recognised a natural ability with horses and cultivated his interest. At 15 he started apprenticeships with nationally acclaimed horse trainers, Gordon McKinlay and, later, Ian Francis. During this time he started and trained over 600 horses. Three years later, he used this knowledge and expertise to start his own horse training facility. Clinton travelled to the United States in 1996 and apprenticed with Al Dunning. In 2001, he became the first horse trainer to launch a "made-for-TV" weekly training programme. The use of untrained horses and a variety of topics covering common problems faced by horse owners has made this show the network's most popular equine programme.
