Gripping horsy fiction with a touch of romance!

I'd never ridden the bay barebacked before. But I didn't have a choice. I had to risk it. Without thinking any further I looped Runaway's lead rope into reins clambered on the fence and slid onto his back. I'd never ever in my life been so fast with such little control. But I didn't feel afraid. I could only think of Jason clinging bravely to the back of the horsebox. I had to reach the gate first.

Author Notes: Jenny was born in Poole, Dorset in the South of England and has spent most of her life in that beautiful county. Her first writing success came, when aged 14, she won a National Essay Competition sponsored by a tea company. The prize of £5 and a year's supply of tea-bags wasn't enough to encourage her straight into a career as an author and at 16 she was more interested in being the singer in a local rock band. Luckily for rock-n-roll Jenny realised writing was her real love and, after a few years, happily gave up the microphone for the keyboard (computer not musical!) Success came in 1987 in the form of a short story published in the now defunct Women's World. Dozens more followed in a variety of magazines, mostly romantic with the odd quirky or twist in the tale type. In the nineties, having combined another life-long passion, horses, with her writing, Jenny had two books published by the Kenilworth Press, The Dark Horse and A Horse by Any Other Name. These, and two others, The Painted Horse and The Horse From Nowhere, first appeared in the UK, then later sold to a Scandinavian publisher, Stabenfeldt A/S who have since commissioned many other titles including, The Mystery of the Golden Horse, A Horse Called Gem, The Chasing Horse, Mystery at Black Horse Farm, The Horse in the Mirror, The Fantasy Horse, Legend of the Island Horse, A Horse Called Trouble, The Horse in the Portrait, Hero Horse, The Iron Horse and The Sea Horses to appear in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Germany, America, Canada, the Czech Republic and Hungary. The experience on which Jenny's books are based ranges from her work in a Stud Farm, Riding School and with polo ponies, but most of all from her deep love of horses and the joy of sharing her life with such amazing beings. Jenny, who's proud mum to two wonderful daughters, Donna and Rachael, from her first marriage, now lives happily on the edge of a Dorset village with second husband, Robin.
