Author Notes: Wynne Davies was awarded the MBE on 1995 for almost half a century's dedication to Welsh ponies and cobs. Dr Davies joined the Welsh Pony and Cob Society in 1948, has been a member of the council 1955, President in 1984/5 and Publicity Officer since 1978. Dr Davis maintains his family's Ceulan Stud farm and has won major prizes all over Britain. Dr Davis has also officiated as judge in Britain and overseas. He is the author of six previous publications for J.A. Allen & Co. and his been a regular contributor to equestrian magazines, notably Horse and Hound, for fifty-two years.
